Jim Pillen: “We all agree our health is our wealth.”

If we can’t stand up and defend ourselves, if somebody’s against that, it’s just absolutely hard to comprehend.

These billion-dollar companies are well-positioned to pay their own way. Not only that, but we also can’t afford projects that deplete our natural resources. That’s another cost our state cannot bear, now or in the future.

My opponents in this governor’s race — however many are on the ballot and whatever kind of parties that they’re named at — if I’m black, they’re white. If I’m red, they’re blue.

Our revenue is on track. That’s great news, but we still have a lot of work ahead of us to deliver a balanced budget for hard-working Nebraskans.
