The cat’s been out of the bag, and I believe it’s time to rein it back in.

The taxpayers are clear on their expectation to reduce government spending, and as the largest operating program in the General Fund budget, the university should be part of the solution.

This determination from the IRS will hopefully provide a little respite to Nebraskans in those counties who were affected by allowing them the time to meet their tax obligations without incurring additional penalties.
