We have a moral obligation to those we have served with in Afghanistan, who serve by our side, helping us out. We had a promise, and a promises made should be promises kept. Absolutely.

We should have oversight. We should bring in secretary of the Navy and/or the commander, the – the service chief of the Navy, and have them explain to us the truth on that.

The speaker is a friend, I admire him, but if he won’t let legislation come to the floor that the majority supports, this is an avenue.

I think he was setting maybe false expectations in the previous months... This is going to be a longer term fight.
