“will the Senator from Alaska help me understand a part of the bill. Within the Formerly Used Defense Site Program you have added $25,000,000 for PCB and asbestos removal. We have a situation out at the University of Nebraska where the Department turned over some land and buildings to the university in the 1960's. The problem is that the buildings contained ammunition and are contaminated. We now need to tear them down. However, the cost of structural demolition and removal of the asbestos and contamination within these buildings is considerable. Is the purpose of this $25,000,000 for problems like we have at the University of Nebraska?”
