“I sadly join my many colleagues who have taken the floor to mourn the loss of Detective John Gibson and Officer J.J. Chestnut. I want to extend my deepest sympathy to their families and my thanks and appreciation, and that of the people I represent in Nebraska, for the ultimate sacrifice they have suffered. They protect the people who serve and work here and the millions of visitors each year from across the country and around the world.
