Let me alert colleagues, if this amendment is adopted, we will be here until 2 o'clock this morning. I hope that sobers everybody's consideration on this matter. On a serious note, the Lott amendment blows a hole in the budget because it is not paid for. It is not offset, $231 billion not paid for. I urge colleagues to vote no. Let's not give up the gains we have made in these hours of work to balance the budget by 2012. Please, reject the Lott amendment.
