I thank the Senator. I thank him for the extraordinary work he has done on the Budget Committee. I thank him for the extraordinary work he has done as an individual Senator to propose bipartisan tax reform, bipartisan Medicare reform, and the kinds of thoughtful solutions we so desperately need. I see Senator Lautenberg is here. We are glad to have the Senator. How much time would the Senator like?

I wish I could look you in the eye and say, you know, if we just had the will, we could reverse this, and we could go back to a time when defined benefit plans were on the increase. I do not think that is in the cards.
It takes guts to do that, and Chairman Arrington, you have certainly led the charge on having a commission.
I would say personally I would not go to a company advising me on wealth management that did not have it because I think whoever is advising me ought to have as their highest responsibility to be giving me advice that is in my interest.
It lifts the bottom. It asks those of us at the top to take a little less of an increase than we might have expected.
