But here is a case where the portion of our elderly population that lived in poverty has been reduced from 29 percent of the elderly to 10.5 percent. That is a dramatic improvement in the lives of real people. I think that is something people can be proud of. I think Bill Clinton and his economic plan, which has led to an economic resurgence in this country, ought to get some of the credit. This President deserves some of the credit.
