I think that this is such a great point about doing things in Congress in regular order.

Heidi Heitkamp is an American politician and attorney who served as the United States Senator from North Dakota from 2013 to 2019. A member of the Democratic-NPL Party, she was the first woman elected to the Senate from North Dakota. During her tenure, Heitkamp focused on issues such as agriculture, energy, and rural development, advocating for policies that benefited her state's economy and communities.
The uncertainty of knowing where these cuts are coming from... has created tremendous uncertainty for small business.
But what did the agency do, or what did DOD do, to mitigate those effects--look at lower cost options, look at ways to do outreach that may not be consistent with the traditional programs that you would use to do the outreach?
I guess I applaud all those efforts, but my question is, what more could you be doing to help small business weather this storm?
And I would suggest to you that the lack of enforcement of existing regulations before Dodd-Frank is a critical component to bank failures.
I consider it an ill thought-out policy response to a critical issue that the Supreme Court has said we need to take a different route on.
None of us can be happy with those statistics because they indicate a systemic problem within Indian Country and certainly with the delivery of mental health services.
We have made some progress but I feel we are just beginning to get to the important work of changing and improving the Indian Health Service.
I would suggest that the ultimate measure of your success is the health of Indian people, not necessarily accreditation.
