I appreciate the courtesy of the Senator from Nebraska. We all understand why this legislation is trying to prevent this from ever happening again. I have shown this on the floor many times. This was from a credit company called Zoom advertising mortgages. We ran up to a near collapse of the economy with companies advertising this: Credit approval is just seconds away. Get on the fast track at Zoom Credit. At the speed of light, Zoom Credit will preapprove you for a car loan, a home loan, a credit card, even if your credit is in the tank. Then it says: Zoom Credit is like money in the bank. We specialize in credit repair and debt consolidation. Bankruptcy, slow credit, no credit? Who cares? We wonder how this country got in trouble. Today on the Internet this exists. Nothing has changed. Speedy, bad credit loans. If you want to get a loan, you have bad credit, go to the Internet to this site. I am not advertising for them because clearly it is probably a bunch of shylocks running this operation. Bad credit, no credit, bankruptcy, no problem, no downpayment, no delays. Come to us, if you want money. Unbelievable. This is on the Internet today. It describes why we have to pass this legislation and what we are trying to do to protect the American consumer and why regulations that come from this are so important. Easy loan for you. Instant approval. Regardless of your credit score or history, approval is guaranteed. This sort of nonsense is not good business.
