On the question of Chinese airplanes--which is an interesting departure point--the Chinese are going to need 2,000 airplanes. They bought a few from us, but the fact is they have been buying from Europe as well, even as their trade surplus with us mushrooms way, way up. What they have been saying to this country--I know some of the corporate folks won't like me to say this because they are all nervous about this--but the Chinese say, ``Yes, we'd like to consider buying some of your airplanes, but you must manufacture them in China.''
