I spent much of my time as Chairman of this committee focused on increasing funding for the IHS and trying to force some systemic changes in the bureaucracy that plagues that agency.
The fundamental problem found in the Dorgan report in 2010 and the findings now before the House is IHS, LEADERSHIP was failing then as it is failing now.
I wanted to say one of my regrets is I don't think we do enough in our Congress of oversight hearings.
