Byron Dorgan: “Are we moving along to accomplish what needs to be done by the time it needs to be done?”

I just want to say that I am concerned about the court's decision in Carcieri and the impact it may have on those tribes that were recognized after 1934.

This is not about politics; everyone on this dais knows that.

I know that everyone sitting at this table has a passionate desire to fix these problems.

It is a travesty! Further, it is a problem that will continue to have negative impacts for generations to come.
