I think what Governor Engler indicated is the most important point, and that is the stability of funding for a project of this type is essential.
Obviously the future is education. We have a 50 percent high school dropout rate among Native American youth.
They need our help because we are the ones who made the promise and we are the ones not keeping it.
We have to shine all the spotlights on one spot and figure out not only what is happening, but how on earth do we fix it.
