I do want to make one point. The Senator from Mississippi indicated the amendment I have offered would allow for the reimportation of drugs that are not FDA approved. I don't know where that information comes from, but it is demonstrably untrue. I don't want there to be a mistaken impression on that. I ask my colleague from Mississippi if we could at least resolve that issue. The intent of this, the written version of this, is very clear. No drug will be imported into this country unless it is FDA approved. My colleague indicated this amendment would allow drugs to come in that are not approved. I don't know where that information comes from. If he and I could at least exchange information so that we resolve that, I would appreciate that.
