“Let me thank you for doing that and tell you I have seen young kids whose lives are turning around because of it. I have seen elderly people who had tears in their eyes when they saw the work the kids have done to improve housing. If ever there is an investment that makes sense, this is the kind of investment that improves kids' lives and improves housing in this country. That is a good place to end, so I say thank you for saving that program because I think it is a wonderful promise that represents the best of what we can do in Government.”
