I must tell you that as a United States Senator and as a former attorney general and as a lawyer and just as a citizen, I have all the respect in the world for our Federal courts and our judges and our legal system. I just happen to think they were wrong in this ruling. At the same time, I am proud to join with my colleagues, both in the Senate and in the House, in efforts to try to make sure the courts understand that very clearly there is authority for the Federal Trade Commission to establish a National Do Not Call list. I think it is very clear that the people have spoken on this issue.
