No American taxpayer dollars went to Iran to get our five American citizens and two family members home.

Sudan holds enormous promise and opportunity. It should be a thriving breadbasket for its people, the region, and the world.

We and our partners continue to make clear to the warring parties led by these two generals that there can be no military solution to this crisis and negotiations are the only way forward.

Despite the many setbacks, we will continue to stand with the Sudanese people in their demands for a peaceful and democratic future.
