I don't want to do something crazy. I voted against every regulatory effort in this area for 30 years. But the American people are agitated about this. And there better be some restraint shown, or the consequences are not going to be pretty.

When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We`re proud of him. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn`t have had all these problems over all these years either.
