I appreciate the opportunity to submit a statement at today's hearing, and address important issues for our Nation's farmers and ranchers.

I commend the Chairman and the ranking member for their extraordinary leadership and dedication to double NSF's annual budget.

I share DoD's concern about service members falling into a cycle of debt whether through inappropriate use of credit cards, payday loans, or other forms of credit.

Today it is my hope that we will hear from you, Madame Secretary, about the progress that has been made by the USDA.
