Steven Mnuchin: “The tax plan will pay for itself with economic growth.”

If the tax were put on U.S. Government securities, it would clearly just raise the cost of the government borrowing.

Not only will this tax plan pay for itself, but it will pay down debt.

It is unacceptable that we have not responded to you.

I would urge Congress to raise the debt ceiling as soon as possible.
