The difference is, and the two gentlemen, one from Rhode Island and one from Missouri, have just described it: The Republicans are for knowledge. We are for science and knowledge. The Democrats are for welfare. The Republicans want to put money into trying to get new knowledge for the future so that we can produce the jobs of the future. The Democrats want to increase and expand the number of welfare checks we pay in the future. The Democrats believe that the way in which you advance into the future is to grow welfare programs bigger, and bigger, and bigger so that more and more people are not working, but are simply getting a check from Government, while what we want to do is grow the science of the country so that everybody can work in the future and we will have no need for welfare checks. That is a big difference.
