I want to say to the Senator, you caught the end of 2 days of speaking on energy, and you heard: coal. I want you to know I had spoken of many other sources of energy before that. But I thought in recapping what we own, you must include coal in that. That is why you heard it there, not to give it special emphasis beyond which it is entitled.

I think you raise a good point. We have to be careful about the issue you raised. It is a serious one.
I want each one of you to know I am trying to look you right in the eyes and tell you that, in the U.S. Senate, you happen to be the super committee.
It would relate in some way to the process that you and I have learned and call reconciliation.
It cries out for flexibility to save money, to do things right, to prevent harming people when they do not have to be.
