I will tell the Senator from North Dakota that it is the intent of the conferees that the National Weather Service maintain operations at Williston and the other sites, and further that the NWS take no actions which would suggest an intent to close these offices. Any actions taken towards closure of these offices will signal to the Congress that there will be a resulting degradation of service.
