“I appreciate the Senators' interest in this area, and I believe we should work to pass legislation to provide appropriate compensation. I have scheduled a hearing in the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee for next week that I hope will delve into many of the questions we must address in crafting the appropriate policy in this area. We are all in agreement that we should work to address this issue in a timely manner, and I will work with the Senator and leaders to ensure prompt consideration in the committee and on the floor of the Senate of such legislation.”
