I thank Senator Landrieu and Ms. Kate Eltrich of her staff for their good work in crafting the District of Columbia provisions of the Omnibus Appropriations bill. I was very pleased to see that the bill included $2,800,000 to continue improvements on the historic Potomac Southwest Waterfront. It is my understanding that this appropriation will be used to fund certain improvements and repairs to the portion of the Southwest Waterfront currently leased to the Washington Marina.
