Together, Congress and America's city communities must keep up the pace this year to respond, recover, and rebuild from the COVID-19 pandemic.

If we don't move on a relief package for cities, towns, and villages across the country, we are going to start furloughing or laying off our essential city employees from firefighters, police officers, to sanitation workers.

The fact of the matter is, cities are crying for help, regardless if you live in a city of 5,000 population or 5 million population.

So, given this context, can you please explain to us why the tax dollars of the constituents I represent should be used to subsidize ineffective, economically destructive restrictions on their personal liberties and create a moral hazard…
