In the face of terrorist threats and insecurity in Africa, military solutions in the first instance, while important in some cases, may prove counterproductive if not implemented and addressed in the context of other measures.

Zimbabwe now is at the crossroads.

There is no doubt that without bold and sustained U.S. action, Joseph Kony, the brutal leader of the LRA and his gang, will increase their attacks on civilians and the abduction of children to be soldiers.

We would like to see a stable democratic country which respects the rights of the citizens, respects the rights and freedoms of a free press.
