It is short-sighted, it's not good for Britain, and it's the wrong decision. I'm absolutely clear about that.

My message is of course to read the IRC's publications because they provide such an evidence-based and innovative and cost-effective way of serving the most vulnerable and poverty-stricken parts of the world.

I think it's really welcome that they put the UK in a leadership position as to the priority it gives to fragile and conflict-affected fragile states.

As polling indicates, most of the British public now recognises that leaving the EU was a gross mistake.
