What have we learned from the tragedies that we have recently had in Texas and in Florida?
I think we can all agree that protecting the President of the United States is a national priority and honor.
I am glad that the FCC voted last week to require the delivery of alerts to 100 percent of the target area identified by the alert system with no more than one-tenth of a mile overshoot.
Unfortunately, there have been erroneous emergency alerts sent to the public that undermines the confidence in the system and the messages that are shared.
