You can say many, many things about the Republicans. But what you cannot say is that John Boehner hasn't been working in good faith to try and solve this problem.

The Republicans and the Republicans alone, I would argue, have totally changed the conversation in Washington, D.C. over the last less than six months.

I have confidence, I truly do, as I think the president does, that ultimately the leaders in both the House and the Senate, Democrats and Republicans, will find a way to avoid default.
