I thank Senator Martinez, for sharing his concerns on this important issue. It is my understanding that the House has appropriated $10 million for citrus canker compensation payments and we are aware of the impact that this disease has on the citrus industry in his State. We are committed to working with his office to help provide funding for his growers that have worked with USDA to help eradicate this destructive bacteria.
