I want to thank Senator Alexander and Senator Murray for their good faith bipartisan work to try to fix the broken No Child Left Behind.

This is not left versus right, R versus D. This is a threat to dismantle public education and higher education in our country. And we should all be very, very scared of what could happen here.

Absolutely. It is a fantastic program. We are asking for a budget increase there.

To say you have to spend money in this way, that prices are fixed, just simply didn't make sense.
