Antonio Villaraigosa: “We ought to work on a bipartisan basis to pass comprehensive immigration reform now, get it out of the campaign.”

We are a nation of laws and we have to fix this broken immigration system.

The role of a leader is to be a uniter, not to polarize people. The role of a leaders is to roll up your sleeves and try to fix this a problem of gargantuan proportions. It's a crisis, humanitarian crisis.

We need leaders who will solve hard problems and answer simple questions.

Tonight didn't turn out the way we hoped, and I offer my congratulations to the winners and offer my best wishes for the road ahead.
