Anthony Foxx: “I believe that working together we can accomplish great things, and I look forward to working with all of you.”

There is no doubt that safe, affordable, accessible, and convenient transportation is critical for everyone's quality of life.

I stand with you 100 percent in urging Congress to provide adequate funding to build transit system capacity to meet growing ridership demand.

Every vehicle under an open safety recall should be repaired as soon as possible.. . .Requiring rental car agencies and used car dealers to fix defective vehicles before renting is a common-sense solution that would make our roads safer.

I want to thank you for what I would call your ferocious advocacy on behalf of safety and on behalf of the workers and users of the system.
