I want to thank you for what I would call your ferocious advocacy on behalf of safety and on behalf of the workers and users of the system.

We have growing freight activity in this country. And without substantial, new, more robust investments in infrastructure, we're going to find ourselves more bottlenecks, more congestion and more delays.

Let us do something big. I am ready to work with you and all members of Congress to get something done.

Instead, what our transportation system received last year was no growth in funding at all.
