Yesterday, President Clinton took part in an extraordinary press conference. At that press conference, in response to a question about his wife's involvement in the Whitewater scandal, the President defended Hillary Clinton by saying the following: I have never known a person with a stronger sense of right and wrong in my life--ever. Well, Madam President, that seems to be the problem. I would like to pose two questions to Hillary Clinton, the person that the President refers to as having the strongest sense of right and wrong of anyone he has ever met in his life: Were you briefed by your friend, Chief of Staff Maggie Williams, about her meeting with Roger Altman? And did you know it was wrong? Madam President, I yield the floor.
