So from my perspective, all I heard is China complaining, frankly, that the U.S. is not allowing the technology transfer that they like under the U.S. Export and Control Act.

We have to keep asking that question of the Chinese and of ourselves.

I think it's very unwise. Get ratchet up the rhetoric to a point we're getting too close to the tripping point where something disastrous might happen.

I loved this job representing the United States in China. It is the best job I ever had.
