The amendment raises the very important issue of how in this global economy we can protect the privacy of personally identifiable information that is transmitted abroad. Senator Clinton and her staff have worked diligently with me and my staff to find a way for the Senate to address these issues. The amendment raises significant issues that I believe will benefit from being made part of any appropriate hearing this session in the Finance Committee. They have graciously recognized the importance of moving forward on the JOBS bill. That is why I have agreed to invite Senators Clinton and Dayton to testify on this issue during the Senate Finance Committee's hearing on offshoring. My hope is that we will schedule that hearing soon.
