I am very familiar with Section 5203 and its importance to the future of the domestic sugar industry, including the sugarbeet growers and processors in Montana. I would like to take this opportunity to commend Senator Breaux, Senator Craig, and Senator Thomas for the work they have been doing to address the problem of circumvention of the tariff-rate quotas on sugar and sugar-containing products.
