TRICARE program: prohibition on coverage and furnishment of certain gender transition surgeries and related services ``(a) Prohibition.--The medical care to which individuals are entitled to under this chapter does not include the services described in subsection (b) and the Secretary of Defense may not furnish any such service. ``(b) Services Described.--The services described in this subsection are the following: ``(1) Gender transition surgeries furnished for the purpose of the gender alteration of an individual who identifies as transgender. ``(2) Hormone treatments furnished for the purpose of the gender alteration of an individual who identifies as transgender.''.
