The Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics will come to order.

If we could just take a moment of silence and pray for not only those that were murdered but also for their families.

But I am also aware that until we out-innovate, and we only can innovate through research, our economy is really not going to get much better.

I encourage industry to work closely with the FAA so that they will be able to draft effective regulations in 2015, and diminish the chance that these regulations will stifle the industry.
