Given the inception of the Department of Homeland Security in 2003 and the support of the Bush administration, if I may, I would suggest renaming St. Elizabeths Campus to the George W. Bush Homeland Security Center. Maybe that will get Congress to fund it.

There you have it. House Republicans have an hour to debate a nonbinding symbolic resolution but not even a few seconds to do the job that would actually pay our DHS workers. This is the Republican DHS shutdown.
It should go without saying that administration officials should not be using Signal for discussing intelligence matters reserved for the situation room — not to mention doing so incompetently by including members of the public.
