I make a point of order that my comments should not be taken from Mr. Peterson's time. The SPEAKER pro tempore. As the Chair ruled earlier today, it is not in order to embellish a unanimous consent request with debate. When such a request extends into debate, the yielding Member is charged. In the opinion of the Chair, the request of the gentleman from Mississippi contained debate. The point of order is overruled.

The President spoke to the Black Caucus this evening. He talked about continuing the support of his administration. He talked about the policies that he had put forth that had benefited many of our constituents.
Whether it's the Capitol on January 6 or Los Angeles this weekend, it's clear Trump is totally fine with lighting the match to stoke violence if he thinks it'll help him politically.
