Bennie Thompson: “The terrorist threat is at its highest level since 9/11 according to the Department of Homeland Security.”

At a time when DHS is rightly warning about an elevated threat environment from terrorists and cartels, we should be focused on plugging security gaps rather than senselessly creating new ones.

If ICE has nothing to hide, DHS must make its facilities available.

Whether it's the Capitol on January 6 or Los Angeles this weekend, it's clear Trump is totally fine with lighting the match to stoke violence if he thinks it'll help him politically.

Suffice to say, disaster response is no joke.
