I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of subtitle C of title X, add the following new section: SEC. 1023. OVERHAUL, REPAIR, AND MAINTENANCE OF VESSELS IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS. Subsection (a) of section 7310 of title 10, United States Code, is amended-- (1) by striking ``the United States or Guam'' each place it appears and inserting ``the United States, Guam, or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands''; and (2) in the heading for such subsection, by striking ``United States or Guam'' and inserting ``United States, Guam, or Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands''. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 661, the gentleman from the Northern Mariana Islands (Mr. Sablan) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from the Northern Mariana Islands.
