Thank you, Mr. Walberg. Well said. I like how you point out that the right to life is tied to the Second Amendment--to be able to defend ourselves and protect that life. That is so true. Also, it's not a safety issue. In fact, violent crime has dropped by 72 percent since 1993 in this country; and, actually, there has been a 47 percent increase in U.S. households that have guns. We now have 47 percent of us who own a gun, and crime has gone down. So an excellent point there. I would like to yield to my friend from Louisiana, Representative Steve Scalise. He is a champion of our Second Amendment. Thank you for coming.
