In closing, last year President Biden acknowledged that the pandemic is over, as has been pointed out. There is no compelling need for the President to continue exercising the extraordinary authorities under the NEA. The Senate, on a bipartisan basis, agreed in November, and here in the people's House I think it is time that we do the same. Mr. Speaker, I urge support of this joint resolution, and I yield back the balance of my time. The SPEAKER pro tempore. Pursuant to House Resolution 75, the previous question is ordered on the joint resolution. The question is on the engrossment and third reading of the joint resolution. The joint resolution was ordered to be engrossed and read a third time, and was read the third time. The SPEAKER pro tempore. The question is on passage of the joint resolution. The question was taken; and the Speaker pro tempore announced that the ayes appeared to have it.
