We are here today to discuss the discretionary grant programs at the Department of Transportation and to hear firsthand from stakeholders about their experiences with the Department's grant processes.

We are grateful to Congressman Nehls (R-TX), along with Chairmen Sam Graves (R-MO) and Garret Graves (R-LA), for their leadership on this issue.

With your partnership, we can keep this momentum going, we can deliver good projects for more communities, and we can build and rebuild our transportation systems to meet the 21st, and even 22nd, century needs of Americans.
