I appreciate the opportunity to present written testimony on the Department of Interior's fiscal Year 2023 Appropriations for the National Park Service and its historic preservation programs.

This is really about, I believe, our foreign policy, the very core interest of our country, how we are seen around the world, our national security, our economic success, our fundamental values.

It really cheapens that to make it into some kind of a gotcha game or to try to make it into some conspiracy to dupe voters in November.

The U.S. must also continue to pursue engagement through multilateral fora, including the U.N., to affect positive change in China.
